We are pleased to announce that Wojnarowscy won first place in the competition organized by the Polish Association of the Lighting Industry, in the INTERIOR LIGHTING 2022 category, receiving the award for the lighting design of the FERRARI & MASERATI car showroom with a restaurant – La Squadra in Katowice.
We are proud that for the second year in a row, another major investment has been recognized.
The project was divided into two phases. The first involved lighting the Maserati showroom and the La Squadra restaurant, located in one section of the showroom, with Spectrum LED lamps. The second phase involved lighting the Ferrari showroom.

This project required the Italian lighting concept to be reflected. The concept included guidelines not only for the design of the luminaires, but also for light quality parameters, illuminance levels, directional options, and the ability to control both light color and intensity. Luminous surfaces were used in the display areas, complemented by spotlights and light lines. The lighting control system allowed for various lighting configurations for different areas of the showroom, reflecting the changing display. The lighting provides excellent visual comfort and highlights the key features of the vehicles on display.

The lighting in the car showroom was adapted to its unique character, with great attention paid to the high quality of the luminaires and the aesthetics of the solutions. Care was taken to use luminaires with the appropriate color rendering index to ensure the true color of the displayed cars in areas where color reproduction is particularly important. We used downlights, spotlights, linear lighting, and Tunable White and CASAMBI controls.
Downlights were integrated into the interior design, providing subtle lighting while meeting stringent requirements. These luminaires undoubtedly emphasize the building’s architecture and the display. Their simple design focuses attention on the display – which was paramount in the showroom.
The use of linear luminaires enabled highly uniform lighting in spaces where it was needed. Furthermore, this type of lighting enhanced and somewhat „enlivened” the ceiling.

Spotlights were used as a complement, providing both general and accent lighting. This solution proved ideal for the car showroom thanks to its exceptional flexibility, both in terms of mounting options and directing the light beam to specific display elements.
All luminaires are long-lasting and require minimal maintenance.
Based on the guidelines received from the Italians, our design department prepared a lighting intensity design to meet the intensity criteria, and we provided luminaire samples that met the design criteria. The project also included a lighting test to meet the light quality parameters – primarily color rendering. The test also examined the ability to meet the luminaire orientation criteria, so that the lighting could be modified depending on changing exposure. Color rendering is crucial in such a space – the ability to change both color temperature and intensity to simultaneously create the desired atmosphere. To achieve this, we used Tunable White luminaires, which allow for smooth color temperature adjustment from warm to cool white. Thanks to CASAMBI control modules, the luminaires can be managed via smartphones. Thanks to flexible control options, the investor can highlight product features, highlighting unique character, or enhance color at any time.
The result achieved was of the highest level of professionalism.
As a curiosity: During the annual dealer meeting, the Ferrari showroom in Katowice received a prestigious award in the competition for the best Ferrari showroom in the world.
